2018 Department Budget

The Department's 2018 Final Budget Document is available on the Department's website. This document will be submitted to the Government Finance Officer's Association for consideration in their Distinguished Budget Presentation Award Program. Great work by Finance Director KateLynn Schmitt.
Weekly Summary
  • A multi-car garage was found well involved in fire upon firefighter's arrival on the scene in the 5600 Block of N. Milwaukee River Parkway in Glendale on the evening of November 8. Damage estimates are pending.
  • All personnel assigned to the Operations Division participated in training on emergency vehicle operations the week of November 6.
  • The Fire Department Board of Directors and Finance Committee will meet November 14.
  • The Board of Director's Facilities Committee will meet November 16.
  • The Fire Commission will meet November 14.
  • Chief Whitaker, Battalion Chief Carlson and Lt. Tyk participated in a review of Milwaukee County EMS's Education Program on November 7. Results of the meeting will be distributed when compiled.
  • Assistant Chief Harris has agreed to be the co-chair of the Wisconsin Fire Accreditation Manager's Association.
