Firefighters Take 2nd Place in Stair Climb

A team of North Shore Firefighters took 2nd place in the Firefighter Division at the Cystic Fibrosis Climb for a Cure recently. Firefighters climb to the top of the US Bank Building in full firefighter turnout gear with the breathing apparatus on.
Participants included: Joel Schneider, Peter Busalacchi, Robert Krauss, Chris Kadow, David Keckeisen, Eric Riechert, Tim Keller, Peter Ziegelbauer and Chad Semrow. Finance Director KateLynn Schmitt also participated in the event and took second place in her division. 

Thanks to the North Shore Fire/Rescue Foundation for supporting the entry fees for this great event!
Weekly Summary
  • One person was injured in a roll over crash at Teutonia Ave and Sherman Blvd in Brown Deer in the early morning hours of April 15. The second occupant of the vehicle fled the scene after the crash.
  • The Fire Commission met on Tuesday November 14 to interview candidates for the position of Fire Lieutenant and EMS Lieutenant and created promotional eligibility lists.
  • Staff met with the Village of Shorewood regarding the fire station in the Village.
  • The Finance Director held open enrollment meetings with all employees.
  • The Department's Board of Directors and Finance Committee met on November 14.
