Phone System Transition

Thanks to everyone who worked on the transition to the Shoretel Phone System and those who worked on Friday November 17 as the Department went through the transition. Please start an IT Ticket in Operative IQ if you encounter challenges with the new system.
Weekly Summary
  • Congratulation to Caroline, a third grader at Richards Elementary School (4th from right in picture) in Whitefish Bay for taking first place in our fourth annual Fire Safety Poster Contest. Over 300 entries were received for the contest. Caroline was presented with her prize for winning the contest at Station 85 in Bayside on November 21. Thank you to the following North Shore businesses for supporting this event with donations: Ruckus Burger, Burghardt Sporting Goods, Subway, Rockin' Jump, Bayshore Town Center, Toppers Pizza and Winkies.
  • Chief Whitaker attended the Village of Shorewood Village Board Meeting on November 20 to discuss the 2018 Fee Schedule and the Levy Limit Exemption Resolution being voted on. Both items passed.
  • Chief Whitaker, AC Harris and KateLynn Schmitt met with Zimmerman Architects and Mann Edge Consulting to review information relating to the fire station in Shorewood.
  • Chief Whitaker and Assistant Chief Harris met with representatives of the CAD to CAD Intergration vendor that has been selected for integration of CAD Systems in Milwaukee County.
Great Work on Home Safety Assessments

The Department got some great feedback from a Whitefish Bay Resident who recently had Community Relations Officer David Glanz conduct a Home Safety Assessment.

"Mr. Glanz far exceeded our expectations...he went out of his way to ensure my son with special needs felt special, something that will always resonate with us. I can't say enough good things about David and this program." - Dana
