Weekly Summary
  • The Department participated in a regional demonstration and press conference highlighting the high-rise fire response plan that was implemented earlier this year in Milwaukee County. A high-rise building at 111 E. Kilbourn Ave in Milwaukee was evacuated and a demonstration of a fire suppression in a high rise building was conducted for local media.   • Firefighters and community relations staff conducted 29 fire prevention and safety presentations in North Shore Schools this week as a kick-off to our annual fire prevention campaign in October. The Department will be presenting at many more schools throughout the month.
  • The application period for the firefighter recruitment and testing process managed in conjunction with the Wauwatosa and West Allis Fire Departments closes on October 6.
  • The Chief and Finance Director presented information on the Department's Long Range Financial Plan to the Whitefish Bay Village Board on Monday October 2.
