Northbound Travel Will Be Reduced to One Lane Across the Brent Spence Bridge Thursday Night Beginning at 9 p.m.

All Four Northbound Lanes Will Reopen By 5 a.m. Friday

Access Ramps Will Also Reopen Thursday and Friday
At 9 p.m. this Thursday, August 24, I-71/75 northbound will be reduced to a single lane across the Brent Spence Bridge, weather permitting. This closure will allow crews to complete work on the western-most lanes and transition the northbound (lower) deck back to a four-lane travel configuration.  Travel on all four northbound lanes will resume no later than 5 a.m. Friday, August 25.

Also this week, crews will begin restoring access ramps that were closed as part of the Brent Spence Bridge maintenance project. The ramps will open according to the following schedule:

Thursday, August 24, by 5 a.m.:
  • I-71/US 50 ramp to I-71/75 South (via Fort Washington Way)
  • 3rd Street ramp in Cincinnati to I-71/75 South
  • I-71/75 South to Erlanger/KY 236 Exits 184, 184A, and 184B

Friday, August 25, by 5 a.m.:
  • 4th Street ramp in Covington to I-71/75 North
Please slow down and be mindful of workers on the roads as you travel through these areas.

Periodic Nighttime Lane Closures Are Expected to Continue on the Bridge Through Mid-November
Although the 24/7 multi-lane closures will conclude this week, maintenance work will continue on the Brent Spence Bridge through mid-November. During this time, periodic nighttime only lane closures will be necessary. Efforts will be made to limit these closures to a single lane at a time. Additional information will be posted on BrentSpence2017.org and on the project's Facebook page and Twitter feed as it becomes available.
