These events also include Time for Gathering as Conferences of the Synod to address together important business and other considerations important to each Conference of our Synod.
Registration:
The take-home value of this event will rise dramatically as more registrants come from a congregation. Each congregation is urged to send at least three persons. The "sliding scale" registration fee covers the cost of the program, materials and supper. The cost for the first registrant from a congregation is $20, and the cost for all other registrants is $10 per person.

Quarterly Estimated Payment Due Today

If you are subject to federal and/or state estimated payments, you must send your payment to the taxing authorities by TODAY.
Payment 3 - September 15, 2011
(For the Period June 1 - August 31, 2011)
The IRS requires that you must pay estimated taxes in 2011 if you will owe $1,000 or more by year end, and if your total taxes withheld from other sources are less than the smaller of 90% of your 2011 return, or 100 percent of your 2010 liability.
Once you figure out that you need to make estimated payments, you need to get federal estimated tax payment coupons and state, if applicable. For all clients, these forms and instructions are located in your online CyberCabinet. On the 15th following each quarter end, you should write a check for your amount due and include the form name, your SSN, and the quarter in the memo of your check (i.e. Form 1040-ES 123-45-6789, 3rd Quarter) and mail to the tax agency along with the coupon. Focus 2: Evangelism Leader Recap
 Saturday, September 10 was an incredible day that stretched from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Twenty six lay leaders made their way to Concordia College from near and far, representing the ministry of the baptized from 8 congregations of the NWMN Synod and 11 congregations of the EaND Synod. The subject for the day was the three great listenings - listening to God - listening to our neighbors - listening to our contexts. They participated in session two of the six session focus on evangelism. All sizes and shapes of congregations were well represented with an energy and motivation that inspired the instructors for the day. See photos from the day... Join us for... Admission representatives will be available to answer questions regarding admission, academic programs, student life housing and financial aid. A workshop on financial aid and financial planning will be conducted to assist families with the college search process.
