Get ready for adventure at Camp Woods!
Join us this summer! Here on the shores of Sylvan Lake at Camp Woods, we know how to do the true camp experience.

For nearly 100 years, Scouts have been coming to Camp Woods to further their outdoor skills and leadership, kick off wonderful friendships and become lifelong outdoor enthusiasts. Now, through our new overnight summer camps  we are thrilled to give non-Scouts and Scouts alike the chance to experience Camp Woods!

Hello From your DCC of Communication - Linda Johnson
Did You Know?
You can find NLC in two places on Facebook. We use them for different reasons, so like them both!

The NLC Facebook Page is a public page. You will find events, photos, and and other information that you can share with your group, section, scouters, parents and youth (where applicable).

The NLC Facebook Group is a closed, private space where active members of NLC can ask questions, discuss scouting, and generally share among ourselves. You are not able to share posts or events created here.

National Volunteer Appreciation Week
This year Northern Lights Council wants to hear about your favourite moment in Scouting and who helped make it possible. We are looking for submissions from youth, parents and Scouters.
Submissions can be made in any medium--written, drawn, video recording, or photos. This is your opportunity to say thank you to Scouters--past and present--for all of the wonderful moments Scouting has provided. We are only able to offer amazing programming because of the hard work of our volunteers and this is a great opportunity to say thank you!
All contributions will be combined into a video montage and released during National Volunteer Week (April 15th-21st).
Please submit your contribution to Tonille or drop off at the Scout House (14205 109 Ave) by April 13th
For group submissions, consider putting them on a USB.
If you have any questions, please call/text Tonille at 780-914-5560 .
* Reminder: Make sure all youth that submit a photo or video have a signed Photo Release (this is found in MyScouts)
