God will never give us more than he can handle. Our lives are about him, not us. He is in control and he is more than able in any situation.
The Red Sea parted at his desire. The walls of Jericho tumbled at his command. The rains flooded the earth at his direction. The plagues swept Egypt at his judgment. There were other great miracles, too, recorded by eyewitnesses. A blind man was given sight. A cripple was given legs. A dead girl was given life. A leper was made whole, and an unclean woman was made pure.
Entire nations and millions of people through the ages have seen his wondrous works. They have experienced his divine hand. Yet, there is still doubt; about his love, his power, and his omniscience. Even today, we are often of little faith. In spite of our belief, we lack trust and faith. We know what he can do, and we wonder whether he will do it.
The truth is God will never give us more than he can handle. No matter what comes against us, nothing can overpower or defeat him. We will always have victory because the victor, God himself, lives in us and works through us to accomplish his will (I John 4:12).
