Student of the Month
Congratulations to Sean Bollman!
Sean will receive (along with priceless glory and endless bragging rights) a $30 Gift Certificate to Music Time Academy, as well as a $20 gift card to the Cinema West Theater in Livermore!
Teacher: Anna Cucciardo
Age: 15
School: Amador Valley
Grade: 10
Student at Music Time Since: January 2012
Hobbies (besides practicing): Tae Kwon Do, Tennis. Gaming, spending time with his dog, Ida
Sean Bollman has come a long way from his humble beginnings on the Rock Band video game over six years ago. After practicing drums on the game, Sean's debut performance on "real" drums was at a party for his grandparents. His father recalls, "We hired a band and Sean asked if he could try the drums during their break, and they were kind enough to say yes. The band then asked if he wanted to play a song, in front over 100 people at the party. He was only 11, but he jumped at the chance, and totally rocked 'Seventeen' by the Beatles."
Now a proud member of our Thursday Rock Band (the real kind, not the video game kind), Sean continues to "totally rock" on a regular basis. You might recognize him from recent appearances at Bombay Nick's and our 2012 Winter Concert.
Do you know a current Music Time Academy student with a newsworthy musical story or accomplishment from the past month that should be featured? If so, please fill out our online nomination form by following this link: STUDENT OF THE MONTH NOMINATION FORM

Teacher Feature
For November, we would like to feature Mr. Stewart Gude, a versatile instructor currently teaching guitar, voice, bass, piano and ukulele.
Leading rock bands ever since his early teens, Stewart has many hard-earned years of musical experience both on the stage and in the classroom, making him a fantastic mentor and passionate educator to his students. Stewart recently returned home to the Bay Area after completing a Bachelor's Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. While at Santa Barbara, he expanded upon his prior musical education from Diablo Valley College, focusing primarily on Music Performance.
Stewart originally began his musical journey as a 5th grader, playing trumpet in the school band. Enamored by the glory of rock and roll, and inspired by classic guitar heroes like Jimi Hendrix, Stewart focused his efforts on becoming a guitarist and vocalist. During his high school years. he led the award winning rock band Azrael through gigs and recording sessions. He later toured nationally with Go Kart Mozart, and currently performs in RadioKeys, alongside his sister/vocalist, Emily Gude.
Stewart currently teaches on Saturdays and Mondays, and will be leading the Monday Ukulele Club starting in December.
