Healthy hints for the holidays
Everyone knows that the holidays are the hardest time to stay on track with your fitness goals. Here are a few tips to help you: 1) focus on portion control, 2) choose your absolute favorite holiday treat and stick to that as your one guilty pleasure, and lastly 3) if you're going to a holiday party, take your own healthy dish -- that way you know that there will be at least one thing you can eat at the party without feeling guilty! And be sure to check out our holiday recipes on the H&H website.

Lots to be thankful for...
This past October was full of charitable opportunities -- and that makes moving into November a great time to be thankful. It was such a honor to be on the 2015 Court for Cerner's First Hand Foundation. We raised $460,000 for children, families, and communities around the globe. So thank you, all you clients and friends that were a part of this amazing event.
We're also just finishing up with #8weeks_to_greatness -- and I'll soon be able to let you know the total amount of the generous donations each participant received. (You should read the blogs at
www.hisandherfitness.net/8-weeks-to-greatness.
)
And I'm happy to announce that a new Team His & Her Fitness has arrived. I am so grateful to tell you that I am working with a group of trainers that follows through with what is promised. It's fun being with the team, supporting and helping our community
through all the events and charities we are attending.
Fit fam keeps rocking! Team H&H appreciates all the hard work, fun, and energy that you bring to your commitment to being as healthy as you can. We applaud all your successes. So have a great holiday -- and try to stay
#fitnotskinny!

Success is measured in many ways
His & Her Fitness clients show their strengths, showcase their successes, and share their personal triumphs in multiple ways. Every milestone makes the H&H team proud!
This month Rusty Smith ran the
5k at KC Marathon on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; Aja James modeled at the Light Up the Runway Fashion Show to support the Young Professionals Love Fund; and former NFL star Eddie Kennison was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.

Halloween Fun at H&H

Trunk or treat
His & Her Fitness was part of "Trunk or Treat" this Halloween at Nall Valley shops. The H&H team led a creative cardio session -- of course! There was also grilling, plus a maze and snacks. Merrit Crawford, Nichelle Gaeddert, Rachelle Kircher, and Christina served up the H&H fun as car hops.

Another fit group hits the stage!
The H&H team is proud to have trained another group of athletes for a national fitness show -- the 2015 NPC All Star Championship. Each competitor did a great job and finished with their personal best result!
As usual, it was a group effort. Merrit Crawford, Rob Crane, and Christina trained the competitors for the show. The entire
H&H team helped at the show -- manning the booth and
supporting the competitors to the stage. And, of course, friends and family support was invaluable.

Client of the Month
|
Stephanie Woltemath
I'm a very lucky gal for so many reasons. One big reason is my sister, Shelley Whipps -- she has worked out at His &Her Fitness for more than three years, introduced me to Christina, and nominated me for the "8 Weeks to Greatness" program in September 2014. What an amazing experience that was! That program taught me how to incorporate fitness and nutrition into my life with great success. I had tried other diets and programs, but without the combined fitness and nutrition approach -- so I had no long term success. Christina and Merrit are such great trainers and they taught me how to live a much healthier lifestyle. My doctor is thrilled with my medical lab results and I have been able to eliminate four prescriptions over the last year!
My husband of twenty-four years passed away in December 2013 and he would be so proud of me. My children, along with other family and friends, always tell me how proud they are of me. And now my children follow my nutrition and fitness plan (
mostly)
and they love it. My late husband always said he was the luckiest
person in the world because he had the best family and friends. I know I'm
the luckiest gal for the same reason. My family and friends,
including Christina and Merrit, are the best support system for me through
this journey. Learning the combination of strength training, cardio, and
proper nutrition has been incredibly successful for me. My confidence and
self-esteem have increased significantly -- and that has helped me tremendously
as I continue to move forward in this new chapter of my life.
Christina, Merrit, and staff make it easy and they are so motivating! I REALLY appreciate them! They truly care and I feel great!

Team Member of the Month
|
Nichelle Gaeddert
http://hisandherfitness.net/trainers/
It is a true privilege to be selected as the His & Her Fitness Team Member of the Month for November. There are so many amazing people here -- both clients and staff! It is a blessing to be able to meet everyone.
This is my second month at H&H and I have been lucky to experience both the #8weeks_to_greatness program and the All Star Fitness competition. We celebrated the participant's efforts at the photo shoot this last month and everyone looked incredible! It is amazing to watch clients succeed and meet their goals -- and I feel lucky and thankful to be a part of that process. Right now t
here is nowhere else I would rather be.
Another huge way H&H impacts the community is through charity events. It is a true honor to be a trainer here and be able to raise money and awareness for causes that are important to the H&H team. At the holiday party this November we'll be raising money for the NFL Alumni non-profit "Caring for Kids." I've enjoyed talking to businesses, spreading the word about H&H, and getting contributions for both the holiday party and "8 Weeks to Greatness."
It is exciting to be here and work behind the scenes to promote H&H and help change lives one person at a time!
Fitness is a passion I am excited to share with others -- and I know H&H is a great place to do just that.
