2-1-1 is an easy to remember phone number that connects people with free information on available community services.  2-1-1 Virginia provides access to services statewide. All referrals are confidential. You can search for the same services on the 2-1-1 Virginia Website as well. We hope all agencies will add links to 2-1-1 on your websites and will also refer clients as necessary to 2-1-1. If you would like a copy of the 2-1-1 logo for your website please email [email protected]

Board Giving
How to get to 100%
According to a recent BoardSource survey, 68 percent of nonprofit organizations have a policy requiring board members to make a personal contribution on an annual basis. Boards average 74 percent participation in giving; however, on the average only 46 percent of boards had a 100 percent participation. Blue Avocado, a nonprofit magazine published an article with ideas of reaching 100% board giving. Some ideas include:
  • Give them guidelines
  • Add it to a job description
  • Annual Basket Pass
