SPOTLIGHT

The wait is almost over!  The Locust Lane Craft Brewery is just a couple of months away from finally opening its doors and welcoming the community to enjoy our simply crafted beers!

Our first event in the area was the GVFL Parent's Social in late September, where our concept and our beers were very well received.  We'd like to thank the GVFL for inviting us to participate in that event and introducing us to the community.  In the weeks since we've been hard at work, perfecting our recipes and commencing construction of our brewery and taproom.  It's been a hectic six weeks, but the hard work will certainly pay off when we open our doors in early 2017!

Locust Lane endeavors to make enjoying craft beers a stress-free experience.  We focus on using the four traditional ingredients in beer (water, malt, hops and yeast) to craft a range of premium quality beer styles that remain true to their intended characteristics.  The result is consistent flavor profile that allows you to determine what styles or characteristics you enjoy most.  Additionally, we will offer a rotating selection of seasonal and unique styles, so you'll always have something new to try when you visit the taproom.

We can't wait to open our doors and welcome you to the Locust Lane Craft Brewery!

A new milestone for GVCO.

As GVCO continues to move toward our new GVCO Community Center, our GVCO business plan includes staffing the facility and the organization. GVCO has recently hired it's first fulltime employee as of this month. Doolun Anyam has joined the organization as Associate Director of Finance and Administration.

Doolun was born in Nigeria and moved to the United States in 2009.  He graduated from The Church Farm School in 2012 and is a recent graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs. In addition to playing basketball at Skidmore College, Doolun interned with the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce in Saratoga Springs and The Department of Youth and Community Development in Manhattan.  While there, Doolun managed projects successfully and was involved with community related activities. Doolun is looking forward to sharing his experiences with kids in the GVCO community,

At GVCO, Doolun will manage the administrative piece of the capital campaign and step in as finance contact and bookkeeper. Also, Mr. Anyam will emerge as the insurance point of contact in addition to other responsibilities as the role of Associate Director of Finance & Administration evolves .

We would like to welcome Doolun back into the community as we continue to make progress with the project.

GREAT VALLEY FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Another successful season of football and cheer!

Another successful season of Junior Patriots' football and cheer is under our belts! We ended the year with more tackle football players than ever before and were able to field six teams to compete in the Bert Bell Conference. In addition, this past weekend our sideline cheer squad finished up their season with twenty girls showing off their skills in a spectacular performance at the annual Bert Bell Cheer Competition.

Once again, a highlight was the annual Junior Patriots' "PINK OUT." In an effort to give back to the community, parents and athletes created over 200 handmade greeting cards that were distributed to cancer patients undergoing treatment at Chester County Hospital.
