News & Information

November brings warm drinks, pumpkin flavored everything, and the Thanksgiving Celebration. This is an excellent time of year to slow down and reflect on the things we are thankful for in our lives.

Child Care Links is overflowing with gratitude for a variety of reasons. From our dedicated staff and results-driven community partners, to our faithful funders and sponsors, we thank you for your contributions that enable us to provide the resources and support to strengthen families in Alameda County.

We are especially thankful for our loyal and supportive parents, Child Care Providers, and educators. Frequent interactions and expertise from the field is vital, in order to deliver innovative programs and resources, that best meet the needs of you and the community.

We hope you have a meaningful Thanksgiving with loved ones.

CHILD CARE LINKS IN THE COMMUNITY
Oak Grove Family Apartment Complex
Child Care Links was thrilled to participate in this year's Resource Fair at the Oak Grove Apartment complex.

This was a fun, pool-side family event, hosted by the Dublin Unified School District Child Care Links enjoys being out in the community, connecting individuals with resources and support.

A big Thank you to Norma Bart-Williams and Roxie Kuramoto (featured in photo), who worked this wonderful community event. A special thanks to Cindy Leung, District Community Liaison at DUSD for putting together this inclusive event.

Supporting Wellness and Character Education Programs

Dublin Unified School District in partnership with Dublin Integrity in Action, invited Child Care Links to participate in their 4th Annual 5K/10K Color Run/Walk.

This event was held on Sunday, 9 October. It's aim is to engage families and friends in promoting and supporting wellness, bullying prevention, and character education programs.

A heart-felt thank you goes out to Alma Lindblom (Accounting Specialist) and Nicole Thresher (Eligibility Specialist), who championed a resource table for this very worthy cause. Your willingness to give up a Sunday morning, in order to represent Child Care Links, says a lot about your own integrity and dedication to the community to expand Child Care Links initiatives.

This SF Giant's fan is a seasoned consultant with a wide range of experience in strategic planning and organizational capacity building. When asked what she likes to do during her lunch hour, she says she enjoys working. JoAnn is very personable and fits in nicely with the Child Care Links Family.

Featuring Our IT Staff
What Does the IT Staff Do at Child Care Links?

A lot! We rely heavily on the magical skills of
our IT department.

Charng Zeeb, Network Administrator, and Xing Yu, Technical Support Specialist, are the wizards who make the rest of our jobs a whole lot easier. They keep very busy with 40 employees, in 2 offices and 2 satellite offices.

They are a highly skilled, extremely humble and dynamic "yes" team. They seamlessly execute all of our technical needs, will trouble-shoot at the drop of a hat, and somehow manage to make it all look easy.

A large part of the daily operations at Child Care Links hinges on their expertise. It is an important, behind the scenes job. We are so thankful to have such a professional and efficient team running our IT department.
