UCI+One program developed for alumni success in the workforce
After crossing the stage at commencement, more than 52% of UCI graduating seniors are searching for paid employment. To address their needs, the UCI Division of Continuing Education is offering a new program called the UCI+One Program .

With the help of a trained advisor and a spectrum of internal and external resources, program participants will identify personal strengths, gain exposure in fields of interest and develop a plan with short and long-term goals.

The UCI+One Program is structured in two parts: the
Core Program and Advanced Tracks . These customizable programs offer flexibility with online and classroom-based formats.

Participants will develop mentor relationships with alumni and professionals, form essential workplace skills, create professional materials including resumes, cover letters, and Linkedln profiles, and manage a personal budget balancing current needs and future plans.

Other key learning outcomes of the UCI+One Core Program include:
  • Interpersonal communication training for elevator pitches and networking
  • Development of time management, project management and business writing skills
  • Exploring the differences between graduate and professional programs
  • Investigating how research experiences, public service and traveling can expand career opportunities
Recent graduates and young alumni are invited to participate in a free information session Tuesday, Dec. 6.
