All Month Long
Register your Fall Food Drive TODAY! Our November delivery and pick-up schedule is almost filled to capacity! Consider extending your drive into December by calling it a "Holiday Food Drive." We are in need of food all year round, so anything that comes in after Thanksgiving goes to immediate use in December!  Check our most needed items list and register your drive!

Important! We are in great need of frozen turkeys this Thanksgiving season! Please drop off your donations of frozen turkeys to our Warehouse in Hauppauge at 10 Davids Drive Monday-Friday, between 8am and 4pm.

The Annual Peak Performance Physical Therapy Food Drive is here! Collecting through December! Locations in Wantagh, Lynbrook, New Hyde Park, and Island Park.

Week of November 1st
Tom Chapin and Friends will be coming to Stony Brook for Long Island Cares' Concert for Children's Hunger Awareness on Thursday, November 3rd at Stony Brook Staller Center for the Arts!  We're so excited to welcome Long Island's elementary students to the Center to learn about hunger on Long Island through Tom's music!
 
Acoustic Solutions will be performing at Centerport Beach Pub on Friday, November 4th at 8 PM - and collecting non-perishable donations for Long Island Cares while they're at it! Stop down to hear some music and make a difference for neighbors in need!
 
WBAB and WBLI are once again hosting their Touch-a-Truck  with Long Island Cares as their beneficiary! Stop by the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove on Saturday, November 5th between 10am and 3pm with your non-perishable food items and check out over 50 trucks, including Big Rigs, Fire Trucks, Military Vehicles, Police and Emergency Vehicles, Construction Equipment, Cranes, and much more! If your children love big trucks, they are going to LOVE this event!
 
Also on Saturday November 5th, Girl Scout Troop 3804 - Service Unit 29 will be at Pet Supplies Plus in Smithtown hosting a bake sale, and collecting much needed pet food for Baxter's Pet Pantry, a program of Long Island Cares.

Week of November 7th

We'll be at the Department of Labor North Amityville Career Fair Thursday, November 10th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, 1 Commerce Boulevard, Amityville, NY 11704. Stop by and learn about our employment programs!  

Week of November 14th
Need assistance with your job search?  We're hosting a Resume and Cover Letter Writing Workshop on Monday, November 14th from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library, 407 William Floyd Parkway, Shirley, NY 11767.  Please contact Lisa Owens at [email protected] or at 631-991-8107 for more information or to register.
 
Thursday, November 17th - Today is the last day of Island Federal Credit Union's Thankful Thursdays!  Please drop off something from our most needed list at any of IFCU's locations!

JVC Broadcasting's "Food Fight Against Hunger" is back! On November 19th and 20th, stop by the Walmart in Centereach with your donations! Party 105.3, La Fiesta 98.5, LI News Radio, and MyCountry 96.1 are battling it out - who will bring in the most non-perishable food items?! Help your favorite win!
 
Over 30 CVS locations are participating in a Thanksgiving Food Drive until November 20th! While you're shopping, drop off some Thanksgiving Food Items to support your neighbors in need!
 
On Sunday, November 20th at 2 PM, come enjoy a fine afternoon of poetry (and read some of your own!) at The Bards Against Hunger Annual Food Raising Poetry Event! Bring a can or two of food and join at the Conklin Barn in Huntington.
