DCYF released the 2017-2018 Community Grants RFP on Monday, November 6.  The Community Grants RFP is DCYF's competitive process to allocate funds our department received via the Board of Supervisors' "addback" and Participatory Budgeting processes.

Proposals are due by Friday, December 1 at 5pm.
Exhibitor Registration Open for 2018 San Francisco Summer Resource Fair
The 2018 San Francisco Summer Resource Fair will take place on Saturday, March 10 from 11am to 2pm at the County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park . The Summer Resource Fair will feature 150 exhibitors from organizations that offer summer programs, classes, camps, and other services for children and youth ages ages 0-24. Agencies interested in reserving a table at the Fair are encouraged to do so as soon as possible: there are 25 fewer exhibitor slots this year, and registration will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. There is no charge to be an exhibitor at the Fair.

DCYF Releases 2016-2017 Year End Reports
The 2016-17 Year End reports present grantee  performance measure results and participant demographic information for the 2016-17 fiscal year based on data entered in the DCYF Contract Management System (CMS) and youth satisfaction surveys administered by grantees. The reports are organized by Service Area and available online in an interactive report format.  
Trauma Infused Youth Development Cohort Workshop Accepting Applications
San Francisco community-based organizations are invited to apply to participate in a Trauma Infused Youth Development (TIYD) cohort training series. TIYD is rooted in grassroots social justice practices and supports the use of community wisdom to address the challenges experienced by victims of trauma. Training sessions will include modeling practices that can be used with children, youth, and families, and the development of a unique toolkit for each agency. Hurry: applications are due November 24.
Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Opportunities
DCYF and our Technical Assistance and Capacity Building partners are offering a wide variety of workshops, classes, and cohorts over the next few months. Be sure to visit the Technical Assistance and Capacity Building page on our website regularly to find out what we're offering and to register for training and capacity building sessions.
DCYF Hiring Senior Program & Planning Specialist
DCYF is hiring a Senior Program & Planning Specialist. T he Specialist will provide grant management support, assist in the development and planning of large initiatives, support and lead the planning efforts related to goals for the department.  Applications are due by November 27 at 5pm.
DCYF Office Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday
The DCYF office will be closed on November 23 and 24 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Next SPWG Meeting: Monday, December 4
The Service Provider Working Group (SWPG) of the Children and Youth Fund Oversight & Advisory Committee (OAC) will meet on Monday, December 4 from 3:30pm to 5pm at the Boys & Girls Club, 380 Fulton street. SPWG meetings are open to any agency that serves children, youth, and families in San Francisco.
OAC to Take December Recess
The Children and Youth Fund Oversight & Advisory Committee will take a recess in December and meet next in late January 2018.  DCYF will announce the meeting date in the December newsletter and on our website.
