'Heart of the Community' Award
This summer our wholesaler, Cardinal Health, held a contest to go along with the launch of their new logo for their generic products. Their logo now containers a heart. They ran a contest for all of their Independent pharmacy customers to submit a photo of an end stand designed to feature Leader products, and a short statement about how we feel that we are the heart of our community.  Hopkins Center Drug won the contest and we were awarded the 'Heart of the Community' award at Cardinal's Retail Business Conference in San Antonio at the end of July. The prize that came with this award was a $2500 donation to a community charity of our choice. On October 25th, Chris, Stephany and Connie had the honor of presenting the check for $2500 to Vail Place in Hopkins.  Vail Place works with members of the community who are recovering from mental illnesses and helps them to lead personally satisfying lives within our community.  We have many customers who are members of the Vail Place clubhouse in Hopkins, and this organization is near and dear to the heart of Hopkins Center Drug. We were very excited that we won the award, but it was even more gratifying for us to be able to share the prize with Vail Place!
Seasonal Spotlight:
Share a Hug--not the Flu Bug!

Flu shots will continue through November on most days of the week. No appointment is necessary, but you may want to call the store to make sure we have staff to administer the vaccine the day you wish to get your shot! We recommend getting your flu shot before the end of November to make sure that you are protected when Flu season starts--usually mid-December.

Remember to carry hand sanitizer with you, cover your cough, and stay home if you are not feeling well.

This fall we will also start offering Point of Care testing for Strep and Flu. More details on this service will be available soon!
November is National Diabetes Month:

We have expanded our offerings of Sugar Free candy that we stock--check out our many delicious choices.

Diabetics need to always be vigilant about skin care. It is important to keep your skin intact to prevent any issues that could lead to more serious skin infections. There are a multitude of skin care creams that are great for diabetics including: Vanicream, Eucerin, Cerave, No Crack Cream, Lubriderm and Aveeno.
Dr. Canuso Skincare For Feet is a new line of products that we are carrying for foot care. If you have not tried this line of products--you really have to! The daily exfoliating cleanser and foot repair serum make your feet feel incredibly soft while treating dry, cracked skin in just days. You will love this product once you try it. We sell Dr. Canuso's products singly, but we also offer a package deal with all three of her skin and nail treatments in a gift pack that would be a great gift for the holidays.

During the month of November--Buy any Dr. Canuso product, get a free pair of Leader Diabetic Socks!
