Fall is in the air

We vacationed last Fall in  New Hampshire.
This was a view from our room.
As in years past I "Fall" in love with Autumn in San Diego once again!
It's that special time of year when we feel that first crisp dry breeze, weather begins to get discernibly cooler, the nights noticeably longer. Every season has its positive aspects; however, I have a particular love for autumn...except for the shorter days, is just about perfect almost every day. I love the wonderful mix of sun, clouds, an occasional drizzle and a slight chill just enough to want to put on my cozy sweaters.

Our colors are not as colorful, in San Diego, as other areas. Yet, I occasionally spot a tree with its changing leaves and I pause to revel in the glory of the fiery red and golden yellow. The other day I noticed the colorful leaves are now are becoming a crunchy brown...as I watched a child carefully carrying a large brown leaf.

I have to admit, another reason I love the holidays is the food! I love comfort food and my favorite flavor & scent is the sweet tantalizing pumpkin spice. We make pumpkin pancakes, I usually do not eat ice cream (lactose intolerant) but I always have a bit of pumpkin ice cream and of course pumpkin pie.

Fall is a season to be thankful, to be with family & friends. Time to reflect over the past year, what I have accomplished, the memories I've made and start to create new goals and look forward to a new exciting year.

This will be the 5th year Ric and I collect Coats,  Jackets, Sweaters, Hoodies and Blankets for the  Community Resource Center
 Holiday Basket Drive
The bed in our guest room becomes an area to sort items by sex and size.  Our living room is already starting to have stacks of bags filled with the donations (pictures from last year). It warms my heart to see wonderful loved items being donated to those in need. Please take a moment and go thru your closet, drawers and see if there are items that will warm others that you no longer use. Your donations may be dropped off at our office during normal business hours or give us a call and we will come by and pick them up from you.
Hugs, Christie
With the holidays approaching, sellers often ask us if they should put their home on the market. Or, should they wait until after the first of the year & perhaps wait till spring?

Many folks think that you shouldn't even try to sell your home during the busy holiday

season. Potential home buyers were too preoccupied with the holidays shopping, parties, cooking meals, or going on vacations. With all that going on, who has time to ride around with a real estate agent, looking at properties.

But with the Internet, smartphones, tablets and our always-on lifestyle, that old conventional wisdom is no longer relevant. The reality is, the home buying season is now year-round.
