Art on the Divide Gallery guest artist for November is Eva Szorc. Eva paints beautiful and realistic paintings, described as uplifting and romantic. A reception will be held for Eva on Sunday, November 16 (see date below). There is also a display of Golden Sierra High School students work reflecting on the King Fire. This work will be on display through December. Recent work has been done on the AODG rose garden and it is a great enhancement to the Gallery. Art on the Divide Cooperative Gallery is celebrating the holidays with community-inspired and created ornaments. Create your ornament and bring to the AODC gallery to be placed on the "Giving Tree". The sales for these ornaments begins Sunday, November 16th. All sales proceeds from these ornaments will be donated to Birthday Buddies. Birthday Buddies is a free program on the Georgetown Divide that distributes "A Birthday in a Bag" to children between ages 1 and 9 of low income families. You can also donate by purchasing one of these special ornaments during the holiday season. Deliver your ornament Nov. 15-Dec. 13, during regular gallery hours, Friday thru Sunday 10 am-5 pm. 13th Annual Empty Bowls Project at St. Patrick's Church in Placerville. 4:30-8:00pm Artists create bowls and donors pay for a bowl, select the bowl and eat soup in those bowls for the evening. This is a project to benefit food charities. The suggested donation is $15-$50. Potters create the bowls for the supper, bread is baked and soup is served.
