On December 1 our international premium travel experience will be transformed with the introduction of United Polaris. This will include gourmet meal service, Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, Cowshed amenity kits, and the addition of a Bloody Mary cart and wine flights. December 1 will also mark the opening of our first United Polaris Lounge at Chicago O'Hare (ORD) bringing you the ultimate in pre-flight relaxation. Nine new lounges are slated to open including Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco, Washington Dulles, Hong Kong, London Heathrow and Tokyo Narita. U.S. locations will open in 2017, with international locations opening in 2018. The new United Polaris business class seat will first be introduced on the 777-300ER, and will be rolling out throughout the year.

Chinese Visa Scanning on the United App

On October 20 we introduced new functionality in the United mobile app that makes travel to China easier than ever. Customers can use their iPhone, iPad or Android device to scan their Chinese visa to complete check-in through the United app. This new functionality delivers a convenient channel to provide visa information during the 24-hour check-in window prior to departure.

New United Club open at Chicago O'Hare B6

Chicago O'Hare's (ORD) newest United Club is now open in the B Concourse of Terminal 1. The redesigned location offers a spacious environment, more comfortable seating areas for working or relaxing and a refreshed bar. The new club is 50% larger than the previous club and is now accepting one-time passes. (Capacity restrictions may apply in times of high volume.)

United and Clean the World Partner to Assemble Hygiene Kits For Hub-Based Charities

United employees are volunteering at hubs across the company's network to assemble more than 15,000 hygiene kits that the airline is donating to charities in its hub markets and communities in the United States impacted by Hurricane Matthew. United is the first airline to partner with Clean the World, which works with hotels around the globe to prevent millions of hygiene-related deaths each year by providing soap and hygiene education. The volunteer events mark the latest step in United's ongoing effort to reduce its impact on the environment and support the communities it serves.

Post Travel Request Complaint or Request
for Compensation

Travel agents can now contact United Customer Care on behalf of their travelers and submit a post travel request complaint or request for compensation. In order to submit a claim, agents must accept the terms and conditions of submission, verifying ownership of the claim on behalf of an individual passengers request. Claim correspondence and communication can then take place directly with the Travel Agent, who is lawfully responsible for coordinating case results and any applicable compensation to the traveling customer.
