An ARM Update
November 2013

Dear friends,

As we enter into the month of November, we are happy to participate in the American tradition of Thanksgiving by reflecting on those things that we are thankful to God for as a ministry.  This year, we are specifically looking at the people who have grown up and gone out from ARM! We are excited about what they are doing because they are living and breathing examples of our vision in action.  They truly reflect "generations of transformational Christian leaders"!

Enjoy their stories, as we look at our legacy of leaders, and please continue to keep us in your prayers as we raise up more and more Christian leaders in the future! Thank you for making this possible through your prayers and faithful giving!

Be blessed,

Pastor Peter

A Legacy of Leaders Video MainSTORY

Africa Renewal Ministries has been raising leaders since our inception in 1990.   Here are a few of the lives that we have been privileged to be apart of over the years, as well as the new stories that are in the process of being created. Thank you for being a part of our vision to raise generations of Christian leaders in Uganda!

Testimonies of Transformation ShortSTORIES

The Making of a Christian Leader

Meet Moses Sekiziyivu.  Moses has been sponsored since 1998 when he was in 3rd grade.  He completed his education all the way through university under our NGLP program where he earned his B.S. in Pharmacy.  Moses is now a pharmacist at St. Francis Hospital in Uganda.

We asked him how ARM has impacted his future as a leader and this is what he had to say:
"I am able to be a leader in my home and my family.  My younger siblings no longer need to look for a sponsorship program but I am able to help support them throughout their education.  I have also been raised spiritually and can say that I am now a Christian leader.  My passion and dream has been fulfilled with the help and support of ARM and I am now able to go out and help transform the society around me to the glory of God!"
Paying it Forward: Blessed to be a Blessing

Meet Memory Nagawa.  Memory was sponsored through ARM from 1997 to 2011.  Memory is currently working as a Spa Manager.  We asked her to tell us how ARM has impacted her life.  This is what she said:

"ARM brought me hope when I had none.  Through them, I learned about God & built a closer relationship with him.  I also learned to build  confidence in myself, knowing that I could rely on them to help me when I needed it.  They gave me a bright future and as a result, I also want to share that future with others.  I want to be the best that I can be in my workplace & in my personal life.  I want to help raise up others to be the best that they can be as well.  I am no longer being sponsored but I am able to give back and sponsor  & train others and see peoples lives healed through the opportunities God has given me. Thank you ARM for making me who I am today!"
On the forefront of Change in Uganda

Meet Mike Musoke.  Mike was sponsored for 12 years through ARM, starting in 1997 when he was just 10 years old.

Starting in primary school, Mike was determined to achieve his dreams and goals of becoming an engineer.  In 2007 he was granted the opportunity to join university through our NGLP program.  He graduated in 2010 and is now working as a Systems Support Engineer with Total E & P Uganda.

Mike's education and work is on the cutting edge here in Uganda with the discovery of oil.  While many people within Uganda do not have the skills and training to infiltrate this new field, It is great to know, that our Christian leaders are having an impact!

In addition to his work as an engineer, Mike is also impacting his church, serving as a youth leader and mentor to the children who are there!
