Michael DeebBook Signing with Michael Deeb

 

Following graduation from Aquinas College, Michael J. Deeb earned his Masters Degree from Michigan State University. The emphasis of both degree programs was American History. Upon retirement from business, Deeb returned to his first love, American History. He has published four Civil War era historical novels, Duty and Honor, Duty Accomplished, Honor Restored and The Lincoln Assassination: Who Helped John Wilkes Booth Murder Lincoln.

Book Signing with Taylor Joseph

Taylor Joseph is an eighteen-year-old who lives in Southeastern Michigan. At age fifteen, she had an idea to write a book about illegal immigration and began writing The Crossing. After a year of writing and many days of research, she finally completed her novel. She has now written six books. Her newest novel The Fight, is about the earthly struggle for a man's eternal soul.

Talk and Signing with Geraldine Ossman, author of The Slip of the Moon

 

Geraldine has been writing for many years. After the passing of her mother, who was a painter, she discovered that many of the paintings her mother left behind fit the themes of her own writing. Pairing them together, she has put together The Slip of the Moon, a beautiful book that continues the mother daughter partnership they enjoyed in life.

Virgil WestdaleTalk and Signing with Virgil Westdale, author of Blue Skies and Thunder

 

In 1942, Virgil Westdale was a successful young flight instructor then the government ousted him from the Air Corps and demoted him to army private. Having grown up as a Japanese American midwestern farm boy, Westdale had his first taste of Japanese culture when he was sent to train with the all Japanese American unit, the 42nd Regimental Combat Team. He was ultimately transferred to the 522nd Artillery Battalion, where, as a member of the Fire Direction Center, he helped push the Germans out of Italy, rescue the "Lost Battalion" in France, and free prisoners from Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany.

 

Westdale and the WWII 442nd Regimental Combat Team will be honored with the Congressional Gold Medal on November 2, 2011 in Washington D.C.
