In the spring of 2016, while working on an engineering project, seven Mill Valley Middle School students realized that having a dedicated space on campus for building, engineering and creating was a necessity for future students.

Common Sense Media Parent Ed Night - November 9:
" Navigating Technology Use in Children’s Lives" 

Please join us for a free talk in the Middle School Library on Wednesday, November 9 at 6:30pm with Dana Blum, Bay Area Director of Common Sense Media. 

We’ll get an expert overview of the digital media landscape in which our kids live, learn and play.

The talk will focus on kids’ media use patterns, how to parent in our "new normal," which platforms kids are using, and the Common Sense research around technology addiction.

Innovative Teacher Projects Receive Funding!
The district is proud to announce that nine teacher projects have been selected to receive Strategic Plan Staff Leadership Grants!  This is made possible through a generous $25,000 contribution from Kiddo! 

The goal of these grants is to provide leadership development opportunities, enhance curriculum and instruction, and foster innovation.

Our grantees will be working on projects such as: creating a maker-space for elementary age students, digital portfolios, global studies training, social emotional learning and more!

Halloween Fun - Pie in the Face!
MVMS students had a blast this past Halloween throwing pies at Assistant Principal Nelson. We heard Principal Lazzarini might have been one of the participants who hit the target!
