We're Thankful

St Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity continues to receive tremendous support from the community.  Recent support includes a generous financial donation from Ciranda, Inc., a large estate gift from Pearl Grotenhuis, and a Weekes' Family Foundation gift.  We also received gifts from 100% of SCVHabitat's Board of Directors in a pledge drive to kick-off fundraising efforts for our planned Spring construction of a new home in Hammond.

We're Building in the Spring!

The Taylor family has been selected for the planned home in Hammond.  This family of four has been living in an apartment while searching for a better surrounding for their two young daughters.  They have begun their sweat-equity work and are thrilled to be the newest family to join the Habitat community.
Please help us make this homeownership dream come true for the Taylors.

Will you  help bring another family home?

Become a ReStore Volunteer

The ReStore continues to look for individuals or groups who are willing to offer their time and talents to support the ReStore.  We have a variety of activities where no special skills are needed - donation reception, donation cleaning, pricing and floor placement, general store organization and cleanliness.  We also have activities where your skills in repair/assembly, or metal recycling can be put to good use.  Please come and spend a 4-hour shift with us.  The ReStore is open Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 5pm.

Contact: Andy Scheiderer at 715-760-3456 or andy@scvhabitat.org to get involved today. We need YOU to become a Habitat volunteer!
Farewell to our Americorps VISTA

Special thanks to Tiffany Franck, our AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America). She was so helpful to our affiliate this last year. She helped with volunteer coordination and planning for our Women Build in May, and so many other things throughout the year. We really appreciated her help in the office and the ReStore and we wish her the best as she goes on to the next venture in her home state of Pennsylvania. Thanks so much Tiffany!

Brandon Patterson will be starting the end of November as our new Americorps VISTA staff member.

Christmas Trees

The ReStore will begin selling fresh-cut, locally grown Christmas Trees on Friday November 24th and continue through December 16th.  With a Christmas tree purchase you will receive a coupon for 50% off any single item in our store.

All profits from the Christmas tree sales and ReStore sales stay in Pierce and St Croix counties to support the St Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity mission of providing decent, affordable housing.
