November 2015
Message from the Board.....
Finance Director's Message....
I hope everyone is enjoying their Fall Season!

October 1 st kicked off our Fiscal Year and we got off to a great start with our 'Fall Back Into ASID/Meet the Board' meetings in Stockton and Las Vegas.

As many of you know, we have chosen Folded Flag Foundation to support as this year's charity. We had so much fun raising money for them through our 'Price Is Right' game, and Global Views has been very generous in donating beautiful items for which to use as the prizes in the game. Not only have we received excellent feedback from members on the game as a fun way to raise money and awareness for the Folded Flag Foundation, but we also raised over $300.00! At our event in Las Vegas at Domsky's, we had a board member (who is also a Veteran) from Folded Flag join us to talk about the mission of the charity.

We are committed to growing the participation in our monthly meetings and hope you will continue to show your support as well as spread the word of our exciting, new direction.
Be sure to keep an eye on our calendar of events for the next year. For those of you who still need CEUs for this term, don't miss the amazing classes we have scheduled for November. Keep in mind we are limited to 18 participants in the Las Vegas, Tami Faulkner hand rendering class... you don't want to miss this one so get signed up today!

Remember, your board is here for you, so feel free to reach out to us with your questions, ideas and feedback; and remember to FALL BACK INTO ASID!

Charity of the Year.....
The Folded Flag Foundation
If you attended our October Member Meeting or read Renee's Letter you will know that this year our chapter has selected a charity to support through the 2015-2016 fiscal term.

The Charity is The Folded Flag Foundation a charity that raises money for military families who have lost their loved ones in combat.  At
the Folded Flag Foundation, all donations - 100%- go directly to the qualifying families in need!

Folded Flag awards scholarships or other educational grants to or for the benefit of the spouses and children of United States military personnel who have lost their lives as a result of hostile or terrorist action or as a result of a non-hostile battle death as defined by the Department of Defense.

While the debt we owe these heroes can never be repaid, the Folded Flag Foundation honors the legacy of these military fallen heroes by aiding their families with financial support for continued education and financial hardship assistance.

Crew 49

WHAT IS CREW 49?
CREW 49 is an exclusive group of Industry Partners who are ready to grow design businesses and connect with designers on a whole new level.  ASIDCANV CREW 49 is a SPONSORSHIP SPOT with four tiered levels tailored for your level of commitment and your goals.

IS CREW 49 RIGHT FOR YOU?
Here's the deal.  If you're an Industry Partner who wants to build lasting relationships and provide knowledge that gives designers a competitive edge, then ASIDCANV CREW 49 is for you.  In ASIDCANV CREW 49 be more than a source - be THE resource.  ASIDCANV CREW 49 is your opportunity if you are serious about going beyond just selling a product or providing a service.  We don't just want sponsors, we want partners.

WHAT DO YOU GET....
Events - As a Crew 49 member, you get first dibs on location, dates and times to showcase your product or service. We've have calendar dates scheduled. We've have four regions for you to choice from: Central Valley, Fresno, Las Vegas, or Reno. Do you want to target all four, or do you want to make in-roads in a certain region? This is your chance to strategically place yourself, face-to-face, with the designers you want to target.
Marketing - Place your brand and marketing in our newsletters, website, e-blasts, social media banners/posts, and broadcast to ASID members precisely how you (and only you) can solve their problems. Get as much or as little exposure as you want, but be there in minds of the designers you want to impact.
Feature Story - Got a big story to tell? Share it directly with the ASID members in our Chapter.  Every day you hear from Designers about the problems they have when working on their projects. Identify that problem by speaking to them directly in a well written story published in our newsletter. This is your chance to tell them how you can help them move their business forward and make progress in a way your competitor can't.
Showcase Your Showroom or Store - What if you had dozens of designers in your location? Just think, - all those cherry-picked potential customers right at your fingertips. This is your chance to host an event, so don't miss out. Don't have a showroom? No problem. We can coordinate and help you find a spot to showcase your wares.
