2016 Holiday Craft Fair is just around the corner!

It's beginning to look a lot like the Holiday Season! You can't miss the Humane Society of Charles County's 2016 Holiday Craft Fair.  This year will mark the 28th year the shelter has hosted this time honored holiday craft fair.  So many handmade, finely tailored unique items will be available, such as leather goods, stained glass, jewelry, scarves, baby items, handmade teddy bears, seasonal wreaths and ornaments just to name a few.  The Humane Society will offer again this year our animal themed baskets for both the dog and cat lovers you might know, as well as our baked goods and White Elephant Sale tables.  We have been told that there will also be a very special visit from Old St. Nick himself!  So drop by to browse, shop, and take a selfie with Santa!

Introducing some of our Sweet Seniors

Murphy the Cat.  He's around 9 years young and so loves to find high places to perch to watch over his kingdom and keep it safe!

Our senior sweet docile Cane Corso Duchess is guesstimated to be around 6 years young.  With a terribly hard life behind her, she is lucky to be one of our Bully Breed Ambassador dogs.  She has been evaluated and based on her temperament was made the very first senior dog in the program.  No issues with food, kids, other dogs or small animals were founding during her evaluation.  She needs to gain a little bit of weight due to her neglect in the past, but she's strolling along heading towards a better life!  Can you be that new life she craves?
Chestnut, a Chow/mix is around 10 years old.   Chestnut is a favorite among employees and he is currently in a foster home because the shelter is just no place for a senior pup! Can you help Chestnut in his retirement days?
