November Newsletter

Greetings from all of us at Step By Step! I t's a new month, new day, new date, new chapter, new page, new wishes. Welcome November!

The Fall season is a beautiful time to reflect on our families, loved ones and the people who have connected with us in our lives.  As I count my blessings this year I want my Step By Step families to know how grateful I am that you are a part of my life.

The students are attending classes with great enthusiasm and my faculty and I are enjoying our weekly interactions with them.  This is our second newsletter of the season. If you missed any of the prior newsletters you can find them on our website homepage.

Our November newsletter covers a lot of ground about the month ahead pertaining to our Jingle Bell Ball Benefit Show, Ticket Sales, Adult Night, Sock Drive and Parent Observation Week.  Please spend some time reviewing this material and jotting down important dates.  We have also set up a Pay Pal link on our website for donations in our effort to reach our goal of $20,000 for Christmas In the City.

If you have noticed a change in your monthly statements we have started charging 1/3 of your child's dance costumes per class.  If for any reason you need to reach us please do not hesitate to contact us.
Election Day
We will remain open for all regularly scheduled classes on Tuesday, November 8th.  We are CLOSING on Tuesday, December 13th to host our Jingle Bell Ball Benefit Show Dress Rehearsal at the American Legion Post 440. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience.

Parent Observation Week
The week of  November 15th - November 21st Parents are invited to the studio to attend their child's dance classes.  It's an opportunity to see your dancers progress since the start of the season.  Important information is shared regarding our Jingle Bell Ball Benefit Show and Recital.  Because of the limited space we ask families to limit the number of family members to two adults.

During Parent Observation week we will be collecting socks for our " No Cold Toes" Sock Drive to help local Boston area children stay warm this winter season. Please support our efforts by bringing in colorful designer crew socks suitable for teenage boys and girls. Thank you in advance for your support!

Adult Night Out!
Leave the kids home and enjoy an Adult Night Out by joining Step-By-Step Dance Studio's MistleTOE Pubcrawl in support of Christmas in the City! Christmas in the City is a non-profit that provides holiday magic and memories to Boston-area families. Additionally, the 100% volunteer organization provides concrete solutions to help families successfully transition from homelessness to independent living.

No Cold Toes
Sock Drive

Each morning we put on a clean pair of socks with hardly a thought.  But for our community's homeless, a fresh pair of socks is often a luxury.  We're or ganizing a sock drive at our studio to help keep our community's homeless healthy and safe, but you also help people maintain their dignity and comfort during a difficult time in their lives and warm this winter season.

To participate, all you need to do is donate at least one new pair of colorful crew socks suitable for teenage boys or girls. (wool or cotton work best) .  Our drop off box is located at our studio. Operation  "No Cold Toes" is an easy and inexpensive way to have a big impact on the health, safety, and comfort of our community's homeless.
S hare it with your co-workers, classmates, colleagues, friends, family or whoever you'd like to participate.
