With All Hallows Eve on our doorsteps and whether you believe in trick or treating, guising or a welcoming of old souls, Halloween is believed to be influenced by Folk customs and beliefs linked to the old Irish/Welsh literature
of Samhain; summers end, end of the harvest season or beginning of winter.
This old soul is well beyond her trick or treating years and has opted to wrap herself up on this rather chilly evening with a cup of tea, knitting and her favorite movie of the season, Hocus Pocus.

 HEATHER'S HELPFULL HINTS
Winter weather is here and with it comes dry hands. A quick home remedy is to use sugar with olive oil to create a scrub that exfoliates dry skin to prevent snagging and dryness. Place a teaspoon of sugar on your palm and drizzle olive oil over it to make a paste. Scrub your hands with the mixture, allow it to sit for a few minutes then wash hands with warm water and a mild soap. Repeat as needed and enjoy snag-free knitting.
