Giving Tuesday - 11.29.16

Through a generous match of $500,000 from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation via Global Giving, JA will be participating in Global Giving's #GivingTuesday campaign. For every donation up to $1k, JA will receive a 50% match on that donation, while funds are available. The match begins at 12am midnight on November 29th and until funds run out. Volunteers from Santander participated in a school-wide JA in a Day earlier this week at Pope John Paul II Catholic Academy in Dorchester. Thank you  Santander and Mass Mutual for your generous support to make this program happen.

Closing Bell: 2016 JA Stock Market Challenge
The energy was high on Thursday, October 27th as 185 high school students from 14 local high schools competed in the JA Student Stock Market Challenge, held at State Street Financial Center in Boston. Congratulations to the top three teams who all walked away with awesome prizes donated by Staples:

1st Place team Newton North High School

Second place team Stoughton High School


Third Place team Mansfield High School


Later that same day, 160+ attendees from 25+ companies competed in the JA Corporate Stock Market Challenge, also held at State Street, raising approximately $111k. All funds raised through this event will go to unrestricted funding, allowing JA to reach more students and continue to move our mission forward.
