 Patti Haar Celebrates 25th Anniversary as Patterson Library Director  
Director Patti Haar celebrated her 25th Anniversary as Director of the Patterson Library in September.  Patti has steered the library through years of growth and development to make the library a true asset to the community providing invaluable resources and services to thousands of people each year. Congratulations and thank you Patti for 25 years of excellence and making the library the heart of our community.

Holiday Vendor Fair

Friday, October 21
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Join us for a great night out while shopping for fantastic items at amazing prices from local merchants, artists, authors and craftsmen. Buy specialty gourmet products including olive oil & vinegar from the Blue Olive Shop in Pawling, maple syrup and products from Niese's, and delicious baked goods from Dana's Dipped Delights, just to name a few. Plus choose from a wide variety of great gifts like soothing & sudsy bath products, beautiful scarves and accessories from Good Tidings Gift Shop in Pawling, Mary Kay Cosmetics, kitchen items from Pampered Chef, painted yoga mats, stationary, gorgeous one-of-a-kind pieces of art and jewelry, and signed books from popular, published authors at this cash and carry event. Refreshments, music, and raffles make this a fun night you don't want to miss!  No children under 16 please.

Friends of the Great Swamp Quilt On Display Through October
 
Stop by the library to see the beautiful quilt commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the FrOGS. Designed and created by FrOGS board members Nancy Clark, Beth Herr, Edie Keasbey and Judy Kelley-Moberg, the quilt depicts 12 examples of native life which are dependent on the swamp and the surrounding wetland in order to grow and thrive. After its stay at the Patterson Library, the quilt will be on display in various locations throughout the county.

Take a moment to view the fun and whimsical miniatures on display in the Adult Library through the month of October! These tiny treasures are from the collection of miniaturists Debbie Colombo and Bernadette Shustak, who will also be hosting a Miniature Craft program on Oct. 26th. Understanding Medicare Coverage

Bernadette Pacific of Medi-Claims Specialist in Patterson discusses important details you need to know about Medicare. Learn about the changes in the Medicare system, Part A & B coverage, costs, and how Medicare works with supplemental insurance. There will be a Q&A period at the end of the workshop.

Understanding & Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior
Wednesday, November 16   7:00 PM

The Alzheimer’s Association* will discuss behaviors associated with dementia and identify common triggers and strategies to help caregivers deal with these issues.

Discovering People: Art Class

Kids in grades K and up, use our LEGOs to show off your incredible imagination and building skills by tackling our monthly theme, or a theme of your own. We have a limited number of base plates, so if you can bring your own to use, that would be great! LEGO creations will be displayed in the Family Center!

Get ready to enjoy a fantastic performance by the St. James Theater Kids as they perform Grunch the Musical. This musical is about a grumpy 6th grader who feels like an outsider. When the entire school gets excited about the school musical he sets a plan to sabotage the show. But will the spirit of theater prevail?
