NOVEMBER VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
CATHY K.

Mother Goose aka Cathy K.
A few of Cathy's furry family members.

Where are you from?
I was born in Northern California near Napa. I'm a 5th generation Californian. However, I've lived in Oregon, Ohio & Texas
*What volunteer positions do you help with at TCRAS?
My main job has been fostering little kitties. I've also helped with various other things - fundraisers, clinics and office.
*What do/did you do for a job/career?
I've had over 50 jobs in my long working career, but my passion are kids and animals. I've taught school for over 30 years and have my own business (children's puppeteer/storyteller for almost 35 years)
*Do you have a family?  Tell us about them.
I have two gron boys. (Will a professional Xterra Triathete Race Announcer & Travis a Geologist, married and living in Houston). I also have a great husband who is a retired Mechanical Engineer. We've been married 42 years!!
*What pets do you have?
We're on our 4th Black Lab - her name is Lil. she's 9 1/2 years young. We also have a black kitty / official name is Squirt, but i just call her Kitty.  She was from my first patch of foster kittens-all black / 7 babies + Mom. I had them for 3 months!
*What do you like to do for fun?
Lots of different things! X-country ski, fish, hike, read, play games, vacation, travel to new places and countries, camp, swim and whatever new and exciting thing comes along!
THANK YOU Cathy for fostering our most fragile guests and helping out at our fundraising events in addition to everything else you do for us!

Volunteer of the Month Pet Pick

Razz-a-ma-tazz is still waiting patiently for his forever people.  He loved the warmer weather and his king of the Catio status (if his new family has a catio OR a huge sunny window where he could rule his domain that would make him so happy)! He loves to have meaningful conversations and has bounced back from coming to us in rough condition. Do you have a sunny spot in your heart for Razz?

  Remember me?
I'm the official logo of the Give! Campaign

TCRAS was selected again to be part of this wonderful opportunity
to fundraise for the animals at the shelter.

 How Does Give! Help TCRAS?

We gain city-wide exposure along the front range and beyond for all the important work we do through coverage by our Give! media partners to include print, TV and radio.

TCRAS attends training sessions that help us to be successful in the campaign to include branding and marketing training, developing media pitches, and donor care and development.

It helps TCRAS attract new donors, volunteers, board members and in-kind contributions.

Most importantly - it helps TCRAS raise some much-needed cash for the animals, our Mighty Medical Fund, and operating expenses for the shelter.

Start now by forwarding our emails to individuals, businesses, family, etc. so we can spread the word.  Thank you for your continued support.

Sta y in the know! Follow us on Twitter @tcras and like us on Facebook!
