We have tasks for those running and tasks for those taking a break from running.
  • EXPO on 10/31 or 11/1 (Got it. Thanks!)

  • Course monitors, aid stations, etc., on race day, 11/2

Peanut Butter (& More) Drive
October 31 & November 1-2, 2014

We will be collecting for North Texas Food Bank during race packet pickup at the DRC Half Marathon & 5K Expo and on race day. The Expo will be at the Holiday Inn Dallas Central - Park Cities, 6070 North Central Expressway. Race day collection will be at Norbuck Park.

Last year, we collected more than 2,100 pounds. Let's beat that this year! If you don't have peanut butter, any non-perishables will do
. We welcome donations from racers, volunteers, and fans.

Online registration ends on October 30, 2014. You can also register in person at the Expo and on race day but with higher registration fees (cash or credit card only). Learn more at drchalf.com/register.

Credit Cards Accepted

If registered, you will receive an email with packet pickup and Expo details on Wednesday, October 29. Registrants will also receive an email with important race day information on Saturday, November 1.

 

If you wish to confirm you registered to race, visit the DRC Half & 5K webpage on the subject. The table will also remind you of the choices you made during registration:

  • Race packet pickup location (Expo or race day)
  • Race distance
  • Shirt color and size

The cold weather is rolling through in small waves, and pretty soon you will be bundling up!

Back by popular demand: 
  • Bright-colored RUN DRC men's and women's fit long-sleeved technical shirts
  • Half-zips
  • Other fall-toned long sleeved tops (all gender-specific)
  • DRC technical headbands to keep those ears warm this cold season -- in lime green, pink, and black
  • Gloves, beanies, and other DRC gear will also be on hand

Come early to get your size before we run out!

We will have the club merchandise table at the DRC Half & 5K Expo on Friday and Saturday, and on race day, Sunday, at Norbuck Park.

DRC Social Run @ Lake House
Thursday, November 13, 2014 [add to calendar]

Lace up your running shoes and join us and the Trinity River Levee Run at Lake House Bar and Grill at 6:30 p.m. for a three mile run and socializing.

 

The Trinity River Levee Run folks will be there to raffle an entry to the race. The Trinity River Levee Run will be in March 2015.  

 

Make sure you bring your ID and cash or credit card.

 

Registration is free! We just need a headcount.

 

This is the last DRC social run in 2014. See you there!

When central daylight time is about to reach 2 AM, turn back clocks one hour to 1 AM central standard time instead.

 

To be practical, turn all your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday, November 1. Mobile phones and computer usually self-adjust. 

 

Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour earlier on Sunday. There will be more light in the morning
