February 7 - Bob MacKenzie: Why Was California Settled Late? Blame Sailing.

California was an island? Whoa there. Well, some folks used to think it was. Bob MacKenzie, a noted docent at the  Pt. Vicente Interpretive Center in Palos Verdes, will answer the question why
the east coast was settled early, but not California. Come to lunch and learn why he thinks sailing was to blame. Enjoy the chef's salad, followed by Chicken Curry with basmati rice.

Harbor Cup Teams Need Housing - March 9, 10, 11 Volunteer now!

Once a year teams come from all over the US and Europe to participate in The Port of Los Angeles Harbor Cup Intercollegiate Regatta. Teams are traditionally housed on member boats. This year, because of increased numbers, it is critical that we find more bunks for the kids. Linen service available at no cost to you. Please email Marie Rogers if you are able to host team members this year.
