While attending Preview, you will learn more about your graduation requirements, schedule your classes for the fall semester, and have the opportunity to meet current transfer students who will share information about how to ensure an exceptional transition to Mount Union.

Preview is required for all transfer students, so be sure to visit the  Transfer Student Preview website   TODAY to learn more about the experience, and to make a reservation for your Preview session. After completing the reservation form, you should check your Mount Union email, where you'll receive a confirmation of your Preview reservation, typically the next business day.

"Scholarships made attending Mount Union possible for me. I loved the university and knew that it would be a perfect home. Without the scholarships, I would not have been able to attend. Mount Union worked with me to accommodate my financial situation so that I could attend my dream school."

"This university really cares for the comfort and well-being of its students. My favorite place on Mount Union's campus is the lakes. My friends and I love to hang out on the bridge whenever we can, day or night. It's the perfect place to take in all of Mount Union's beauty!"

Housing Information
It's time to begin planning for living on campus in residence life as a Purple Raider! Many of you have been asking how Mount Union will match you with a roommate and where you will be living.

  • REQUIRED Form Submission: Every new student needs to complete either a New Student Housing application or a New Student Commuter application on MyHousing
  • Housing application: If you’re planning to live on campus, that application includes a personal and interest preference questionnaire. You’ll also be able to indicate your hall preferences and provide emergency contact information.
  • Roommate Requests: If you know who you want to live with, you can also use this system to make a specific roommate request. To do this, you will go to the "Room Selection" across the top and then choose "Roommates/Suitemates" from the drop-down menu. These requests must be made and confirmed by your roommate by July 18 in order to be guaranteed.
  • Roommate Assignment: If you don’t know who you want to live with, the program will then use this information to find your best match among the other students who've already completed the form. All new students must complete one of these applications.
  • Housing Assignment Notification: Housing assignments, along with roommate name and contact information, will be emailed to your Mount Union email address during the first week of August.
  • Community: The University of Mount Union values all students and their identities and wants to create a safe and inclusive home for everyone on campus. To support all of our students, different housing options, including gender inclusive housing, are available for students to select when completing their housing application. For more information, please visit our FAQ page here.
  • Residency Requirement:  Mount Union has a two-year residency requirement. Students who have lived on campus for four semesters at a previous institution(s) are eligible to live off campus. These students may also apply to live in our townhouses/apartments, even if the student doesn't have junior status by credit hours. If a student has lived on another campus for three or less semesters, he/she is required to live on campus at Mount Union, unless he/she can commute from his/her parent(s)' or guardian(s)' primary, permanent home address. Please email [email protected] with any questions about this policy and to let us know how many semesters you have already lived on campus elsewhere.
