Calling ALL dancers!! Auditions for our inaugural production of The Nutcracker will be Sunday, September 10th. Auditions are open to all ballet dancers in the greater Norwalk area, as well as all NMYB students.
This is your chance to perform The Nutcracker like a professional ballet dancer - accompanied by a live orchestra. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, we have commissioned the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Jonathan Yates, to bring our dancers an extraordinary performing experience.
IMPORTANT DETAILS:
If you are en pointe, please come prepared with your pointe shoes. Dancers ages 10-12 should arrive prepared to be potentially asked stay late.
There is no fee to audition. The performance fee is $150 per dancer. Rehearsals will be held on Sundays. Some dancers may be called to rehearsals on Friday and/or Saturday evenings. All dancers will be called to rehearsals at the studio and at the theater during Tech/Dress week, November 26-December 1.
Step 1-Register online to hold your dancer's place at the audition.
Step 2-Download the Audition Form, complete it, and bring it with you to the audition.
Step 3-Dancers will be assigned their audition number and get measured for their costume at the audition. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled audition time.
