OCTOBER 14TH: ORANGE COUNTY - AT THE VANGUARD OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT
Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law, along with co-sponsors Judicate West, OCHBA, OCAABA and Thurgood Marshall Bar Association will present "Orange County - At the Vanguard of the Civil Rights Movement on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law in Orange. The intent of the program is to highlight courageous and visionary  Orange County residents who asserted their constitutional civil/human rights through our courts.
2 Hours of MCLE credit including 1 hour of elimination of bias.

OCTOBER 28TH - OCAABA DAY AT PLC'S SEALOP
The Public Law Center's South East Asian Legal Outreach Program (SEALOP) provides free civil legal assistance at the Little Saigon Social and Cultural Center, 8251 Westminster Blvd, Suite 110, (inside the First Bank building), Westminster, CA 92683.

OCAABA hosts the SEALOP clinic on the last Saturday of every month from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Volunteer attorneys and Vietnamese-English translators are needed.

This program is presented by the Orange County Bar Association's ("OCBA") Human Trafficking Task Force and Criminal Law & International Sections and will outline the human trafficking issue in Orange County, the laws used to prosecute the traffickers, and the neuroscience of human trafficking victims, including one human trafficking survivor's story.

November 9th - OCKABA 12th Annual Installation Dinner
The Orange County Korean American Bar Association (OCKABA), a local network of approximately 400 local attorneys, will be holding its 12th annual installation dinner from 6 pm - 9 pm on Thursday, November 9th at Hotel Irvine. This year's honorees are Judge Susan Jung-Townsend and Sylvia Kim, the Orange County regional director of Asian Americans Advancing Justice. OCKABA will present Community Partnership Awards to the Council of Korean Americans and the International Association of Korean Lawyers.
