April 29th -CAPAJA-PAC Inaugural Fundraiser
The California Asian Pacific American Judges Association Political Action Committee (CAPAJA-PAC) will host its inaugural fundraiser on Sunday, April 29th from 2:00-4:00 pm in support of ongoing efforts to retain Asian and Pacific American judges. Several Asian Pacific American judges are threatened with electoral challenges in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, and Sacramento in the upcoming primary election this June. These challenges are just the latest in a series of historical efforts aimed at removing Asian Pacific American judges via the ballot box. In response to this history of electoral challenges, CAPAJA-PAC was formed to support judges seeking to retain their positions.

Although Asians and Pacific Islanders are the nation's fastest growing racial group, they remain underrepresented in the judiciary. CAPAJA-PAC is committed to assisting Asian and Pacific judges who have proven records of judicial excellence and integrity in defeating election challenges. In addition to financial support, CAPAJA-PAC will provide challenged judges with advice and referrals from other judges who have experience with judicial elections.

There will be a fully hosted hors d'oeuvres buffet and bar. To RSVP and to obtain location details, please contact Chris at cjflawyer@hotmail.com or by phone at (562) 881-1228. If you are unable to attend, please consider showing your support at this critical time. Contributions may be made online at https://donate.democracyengine.com/CAPAJAPAC or mailed to CAPAJA PAC, FPPC ID# 1402811, c/o Susan Reyes, LLC, P.O. Box 1293, Alameda, CA 94501.
