STAY LOCAL! 
MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR  SPRING BREAK
  • Take time off.
    • Relax after the midterms you just took so that you can get through the weeks leading up to finals
  • Spend time with friends and family
    • Catch up with your family and hometown friends
  • Get active.
    • Get outdoors, head to the gym, or take a walk through the park
  • Visit friends from other schools
    • Colleges break at different times--take the time to visit friends
  • Explore the town.
    • See what the off-campus area has to offer. You may find a new place to go when school is back in session
  • Treat yourself.
    • Spend a day at the spa, take a shopping trip, or get tickets to see a good sports game
  • Embrace the solitude.
    • Sleep late, do some cleaning, watch what you want and when you want
  • Take time to volunteer.
    • Learn new skills, meet new people, and have something to put on your resume
  • Search for summer employment.
    • If you're looking for summer employment, an internship, or your first job, March is the time to start
    • Dedicate time to conduct a comprehensive job search and application process
    • Go out on a limb and apply for that dream job that you think you won't get--you never know!

Running Scared, Running Free: Escape to the Promised Land (2/4-3/14)

Long Island's history comes alive with an interactive theatrical performance based on oral history. Experience this live, on-stage drama about the links between the Underground Railroad, secret codes hidden in quilts and the strength of the human spirit in the struggle for freedom.
