Last week the Ohio House
State & Local Government Committee held its first hearing of
HB585. This is the bill that would allow your rights to keep and bear arms to be deprived without you being present in court to confront your accuser. This is right out of the Kasich plot against gun owners and we won't stand for it.
Please contact the Chair of the Committee,
Rep. Marlene Anielski, and ask her to BURY THIS BILL in committe.
We gun folks did have some friends on that committee who spoke up BIG TIME during the hearing. Among them was
Rep. John Becker (R-65) who kept up a constant pressure on the bill's author and exposed many of the flaws. OFCC would like to thank Rep. Becker, and the other members of the committee, for making it clear that this bill would face serious opposition at every step.
