Is This Tata The Smallest Roadworthy Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Vehicle In The World?
Green Car Reports

Indian automaker Tata Motors may have built the world's smallest roadworthy hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle. The company known for the tiny Nano--as well as its stewardship of Jaguar Land Rover--unveiled a fuel-cell version of its Magic Iris microvan at AutoExpo India. The Tata Magic Iris Ziva is based on a small commercial vehicle that--like the Nano--is just barely a step above a scooter or motorcycle.

First Hydrogen Powered Drone to Monitor the Arctic
The Green Optimistic

First ever flight of a drone powered by hydrogen marked the beginning of eco-friendly, long-distance unmanned aerial monitoring. By now everyone has heard of unmanned aerial vehicles, a.k.a. UAVs or drones. Industry giants want to use these to speed up deliveries or monitoring, scientific teams want to use these for automated measurements, and pretty much every guy I know wants to have one of these as a cool toy to fly around the garden.

Boeing Devises Storage System for Renewable Energy
Voice of America

Boeing says it has developed and installed the first affordable system for storing surplus energy from renewable sources. Storing large amounts of electrical power for later use has always been a problem, because existing batteries are unsuitable for large-capacity storage. Boeing says its new compact system uses surplus electricity to extract, compress and store hydrogen, one of the most energy-potent elements.

New solid hydrogen-on-demand fuel cell from HES Energy Systems flies ST Aerospace UAV for record 6 hours
ANTARA

A consortium of Singaporean institutions and private sector companies including HES Energy Systems, ST Aerospace, DSO National Laboratories, and the Future Systems and Technology Directorate of Singapore's Ministry of Defense, have worked jointly to achieve a record 6 hour endurance, 300km flight on the Skyblade 360 UAV built in Singapore by ST Aerospace.

Riversimple Teases Hydrogen-Powered Road Car
Carscoops (blog)

Riversimple is all set to unveil their first hydrogen-powered car on Wednesday, February 17 2016. This image, however, is nothing more then a teaser representing the engineering prototype of the car, which means we can't draw too many conclusions from it, other than what the taillights look like and to some extent, the rear end as well. We do know what type of vehicle this will be, thanks to their website where they reveal that this is a two-seater "network electric car", with a carbon fiber monocoque chassis that weighs less than 40kg (88 lbs).

UTA researchers devise more efficient materials for solar fuel cells
EurekAlert (press release)

University of Texas at Arlington chemists have developed new high-performing materials for cells that harness sunlight to split carbon dioxide and water into useable fuels like methanol and hydrogen gas. These "green fuels" can be used to power cars, home appliances or even to store energy in batteries.

Intelligent Energy reveals smart thinking behind Indian fuel cell mega-deal
Business Green

Transformational £1.2bn telecom tower deal promises to cut emissions and provide the fuel cell sector with the scale it needs to bring down costs still further. If you are going to take the bold move of calling your company Intelligent Energy you need to be pretty confident that that is precisely what you are going to deliver. Thankfully, for the Loughborough-based fuel cell pioneer the past few years have provided plenty of evidence the company's technology and business model is as smart as its name implies.

AFC Energy signs engineering contract with plantIng for fuel cell technology development
Gasworld

AFC Energy, an industrial fuel cell power company, has signed a strategic engineering partnership and services agreement with Germany-based engineering consultancy plantIng GmbH. The contract seeks to support the optimisation and rollout of AFC Energy's industrial alkaline fuel cell system, which was successfully commissioned for the first time in Germany last month.

Pollution-free fuel cells to power inner city vehicles
Examiner.com

Pollution-free fuel cell technology that is currently being looked into by the European Space Agency for satellites and robotic missions to Mars may soon be used to make regular deliveries throughout the streets of Austria. According to a report by the ESA, the Citylog EMPF vehicles developed by Austrian transport specialist HET Engineering, with help from the DLR German Aerospace Center emit zero emissions and noise, and are "small enough to navigate the narrow and congested streets of cities such as Klagenfurt, where a new prototype is being tested.
