The Robertson Program responds to the TRC by co-hosting a unique conference on Indigenous Knowledge and Mathematics Education (IKME).
 
Educators gathered in Fort Fra nces to improve mathematics teaching within a framework of reconciliation and reciprocal learning.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
OISE Alumni & Friends Leadership Series brought the OISE community together this fall with inspiring alumna and guest speaker Denise Dwyer, a leader in education at the Indigenous Education and Well-Being Division of the Ministry of Education.

Why is this Program so important? New   research tells us we should help kids enjoy math at an early age to avoid math anxiety and become fearless learners. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also calls for coding in every classroom of the future

APPOINTMENTS & AWARDS
Congratulations to all our 2017 Arbor Award winners!

To celebrate our outstanding volunteers and their  achievements, Dean Glen Jones held a Wine & Cheese reception, followed by the official ceremony at the U of T President's House. 
 


Dr. Steven Reid, has been named Chief Evaluation Officer at the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO).  He is also a lecturer in the Curriculum, Teaching & Learning department at OISE.
 
 
What can you do with a masters in higher education?  
 
Andrew Boggs, MA, was appointed Chief of Staff to the Vice Chancellor at the University of Oxford.
   


Doctoral student Asima Vezina has been named President and Vice-Chancellor of Algoma University. 


 
 
OISE's Centre de recherches en éducation franco-ontarienne (CREFO) won the prestigious award Prix du 3-juillet-1608, accepted by Director Diane Gérin-Lajoie.
