Some of those new and exciting changes include an eNewsBlast to our membership.  You can look for these updates through the year to provide information about services and professional development opportunities.

Keynote Speaker
"It All Starts With Attitude!" - Sam Glenn

Our conference will feature the motivational speaking of  Sam Glenn. His speech will empower, entertain and energize our group.  Mr. Glenn is not only a great speaker but an artist.  He will amaze everyone with his artistic talents during his keynote session.

Attendees can look forward to recharging their attitude batteries, rekindling their enthusiasm and igniting new levels of personal and professional positivity.

Conference Schedule
We are excited to offer a power packed fall conference built on the feedback of our membership.  We have posted a link to the current program.  Due to the early nature of our conference this year, our schedule is still evolving, so some of the conference sessions may change based on the availability of the speakers.

What's New at the Conference?
This year we have a new session at the end of both Thursday and Friday's breakout sessions.  We will be participating in an unconference model to let our members drive the conversation and learning.

What is an UnConference?
An unconference is a l oosely structured conference emphasizing the informal exchange of information and ideas between participants. Participants at the conference this year will get to choose what they want to talk about during the last session of the day.   If you were fortunate enough to attend the SDE Pre-Conference of Engage OK, it's a little like that.  These types of session are great for networking and personalized learning.

How will it work?
Throughout the conference, participants will have the opportunity to write their questions and ideas on message board areas.  Those message boards will be used during the unconference sessions to help drive the dialog and conversations.

These training sessions have been approved by the SDE and count toward the required 12 hours of instruction for Encumbrance Clerks and Treasurers Certificate.  Each workshop is worth six (6) hours of certification credit.

You can sign up by contacting CCOSA.  Make sure you tell them you are a member of Oklahoma ASBO to receive our membership pricing.

Thank you for all you do to help make Oklahoma ASBO a dynamic and meaningful organization.

See you in September!

Sincerely,
