will be green and sponsored by Elliot Mincberg & Carol Rest-Mincberg in memory of Helen Mincberg, z'l, and with appreciation for the support of the OKC community during the 11 months of mourning, and in memory of Isaac Mincberg, Lillian Rest, Edwin Rest, and David Rest, z'l. An additional enhancement had been provided by Katherine Ralston & Michael Slott in honor of their 35th wedding anniversary.

) commemorates calamities in Jewish history, according to
Mishnah Ta'anit
chapter 4, among them the breaking of the first set of tablets and the breaching of Jerusalem's walls by the Babylonians.
Shiv'ah-Asar B'Tammuz
, is a dawn to nightfall (
3:57 am - 9:10 pm
) fast. In order to have the fast-day liturgy (including Torah reading) at Shacharit, and at Minchah, we will need at least six people present and fasting. If you can make a commitment to be present for Shacharit without having eaten beforehand, or a commitment to be present for Minchah and have fasted all day, or both commitments, please contact Richard Friedman at richard.friedman@hhs.gov.

We are saddened by the passing of Ohr Kodesh member Charles Krauthammer, z'l, husband of Robyn Krauthammer and father of Daniel Krauthammer on June 21.
The funeral service and burial were private.

We are saddened by the passing of Ohr Kodesh member Herman Kaplan, z'l, on June 24. The funeral and burial were held on June 26.
May God comfort all who mourn for Charles Krauthammer and for Herman Kaplan and may their memories always be for a blessing.
