Teacher, artist, and yogini Julie Deters will lead us through a mindfulness practice, including drawing exercises, light yoga stretches, and a deep relaxation exercise similar to yoga nidra. Cynthia Lapp will play gongs that resonate with yoga. Bring a blanket or a mat.

June 21 - Gordon Marino | author
Gordon Marino, author of The Existentialist’s Survival Guide: How to Live Authentically in an Inauthentic Age, reads from his new book and discusses it with Steve Ostovich, Chair of the Philosophy Department at the College of St. Scholastica. Marino examines the existential perspective that sees our psychological ups and downs as offering enduring lessons about living a life of integrity and can help us discern an inner spark that can inspire spiritual development and personal transformation. Marino is a professor of philosophy and director of the Hong Kierkegaard Library at St. Olaf College, boxing corespondent for The Wall Street Journal and frequent writer for the New York Times. Marino will autograph books provided for sale by Zenith Bookstore .

Noteworthy Kids and Oldenburg Arts and Cultural Community are joining together to raise funds to assure that our region’s kids are able to develop their musical abilities with access to instruments, lessons and mentoring with adult professional musicians.

Students and teachers from Carlton, Cloquet, Wrenshall Public Schools and the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College worked with professional nature photographer Dudley Edmondson to capture the emergence of spring from Oldenburg House to Oldenburg Point in Jay Cooke State Park.
