Study the American Home Front Effort in World War II

Thursdays, June 8 - July 13
9:30 - 11:45 a.m.
Peoria NEXT Innovation Center

While millions of Americans went off to fight World War II all over the globe, people at home also made contributions to the war effort in a variety of different ways.  In the study group "Over Here: Winning World War II on the Home Front," participants will learn how all sorts of folks pitched in to help win the war.  In the video clip below, you'll see how the sale of war bonds and rationing were two of the many weapons we employed to secure victory.  You'll also learn about the use of movies, books, sheet music, and victory gardens were part of the war effort.  Our discussion begins on Thursday, June 8, at 9:30 a.m. at the Peoria NEXT Innovation Center.   Call our office at 309-677-3900 to get in on the lively discussions!

$45 - facilitated by the volunteers as noted above, and coordinated by Carol May, OLLI study group coordinator and facilitator.
