Dear Friends of Our Lady of Prompt Succor,
A recent news item stated that a small bag carried onto the moon to collect rocks was sold on auction for $1.8 million. Someone really wanted to feel connected to “a part of our history.”
We all have this deeply imbedded desire to connect with what is important to us. How is it for you? Is there an important place on your “bucket list” to visit – whether for personal reasons or for religious ones? What helps you to feel connected? What memories do you have of special journeys, of treasured souvenirs collected along life’s way?
It is good to remember that our God is ever so close to us, whether or not we have the means or desire to travel or to spend large sums of money. It only takes a moment to pause, to remember God’s presence, God’s nearness in the midst of our busy lives.
May these warm days of summer remind each of us of the warmth of God’s love – always available to us, always inviting us to grow.
Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help us!
