Make a Difference!
If you think there is nothing for youth and teens to do in Columbia, then here is your opportunity to get involved and be a part of the solution. CA's Teen and Middle School advisory committees have monthly meetings to help young people get involved in their community by planning, organizing and implementing positive programs and activities for their peers.

We are currently accepting middle and high schoolers for the 2017-18 school year to be members of their respective advisory committees. Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of the month.
CheckMates Chess Club:  Play or Get Played
The Howard County Police Department teams up with students to teach the fundamental moves of chess.  Skill level doesn't matter, all students are welcome, whether you are a beginner or a master.  CheckMates Chess Club meets every Monday from 4 - 6 pm. at the Barn (YTC).  Students must be registered with YTC to join.
