OML Welcomes Two New Board Members |
At the July OML Board of Directors' meeting, the board voted to fill the vacancies of Districts 4 and 10. The board voted JD Spohn to serve as the representative for District 4 and Jason Hulin as District 10's representative.

Municipalities are where businesses choose to locate as they receive fire and police protection, water and other valuable services that cities provide. Diners, Districts, and Dialogues Coming to a District Near You
|
OML and MCO are excited to announce the new series of town hall meetings called Diners, Districts and Dialogue. The first meeting will be held in Ponca City on August 20th from 6-8 pm at the Carolyn Renfro Event Center.
This event is for all mayors, councilmembers, city managers, economic development directors and legislators in the region to learn about the new initiative that OML and MCO are rolling out called "Funding the Gap: Strong Cities, Strong State".

Gerald Wilkins City Manager of the Year Award Nominations due August 14th
|
Each year the City Management Association of Oklahoma (CMAO) recognizes a city manager in our state for outstanding performance with the Gerald Wilkins Award for City Manager of the Year. This award honors the late Gerald Wilkins, former OML President, longtime city manager and municipal advisor to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

Time to Submit Nominations For Awards to be Presented at the OML Annual Conference |
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2015 MCO Mayor of the Year Awards, the Don Rider Award and the Innovation Award. The awards will be presented at the OML Annual Conference Awards Banquet on September 24th in Tulsa, OK.

OML Congratulates Neese Personnel on 40 Successful Years
|
Governor Fallin proclaimed July 23rd Terry Neese Day in Oklahoma to commemorate the 40th year anniversary of Neese Personnel. Director Stager attended the celebration last week to wish them a very happy birthday and extend her hope for continued success in their future endeavors.
