BRENTANO STRING QUARTET

Named for Antonie Brentano, who many scholars believe to be Beethoven's "Immortal Beloved," the Brentano String Quartet performs Beethoven's Opus 130 and the Grosse Fuge, as well as Busoni's String Quartet No. 2. Tickets are $45, $40, and $35.
TAKACS QUARTET WITH GARRICK OHLSSON
March 20, 8pm, Irvine Barclay Theatre
The Takacs Quartet performs Beethoven's String Quartet No. 14, the composer's favorite of his late quartets. The quartet also teams up with Grammy Award-winning concert pianist Garrick Ohlsson for Shostakovich's Piano Quintet in G minor. Tickets are $45, $40, and $35.
