Everyone Deserves to Hear We now have T-Coil technology!
Christ Church just installed a T-Coil hearing loop in the church to assist those who are hearing impaired. The loop delivers sound from our sound system wirelessly into your hearing aid or assisted listening device if you don't have a hearing aid. It eliminates distracting background noise and provides crystal clear sound.
Your hearing aid must have Telecoil to pick up the signal from the hearing loop. If you don't know whether or not you have a T-Coil, contact your audiologist or hearing aid dispenser. For those without hearing aids, an assisted listening device will be available. Printed information to share with your audiologist is available in the narthex, at the Welcome Table and in the parish office.

Lent is on the Horizon Ash Wednesday Almighty God, you have created us out of the dust of the earth: Grant that these ashes may be to us a sign of our mortality and penitence, that we may remember that it is only by your gracious gift that we are given everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen. BCP p.265
Ash Wednesday will be upon us next week. It
is always celebrated on a
Wednesday
seven weeks prior to Easter Sunday and it marks the beginning of the six weeks of Lent.
Wednesday, February 14 there will be three opportunities to worship:
- 8:00 a.m. - CCDS Chapel Service
- 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m.
If you have
palms from last Palm Sunday please bring them in so they may be transformed into our ashes.
Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.
BCP p. 265

Good Book Club, and we hope you'll join the journey too!
The
Good Book Club website lists the daily readings, as well as available resources to support you as you read the scriptures. Resources also will be available in Spanish at

Showers of Blessings 2018 Lenten Outreach Project What a joy it is to jump in a hot shower or bath on a cold winter morning and ready yourself for the day ahead. But what if you didn't have a bath or shower; what if you didn't even have a roof over your head? That is the reality for hundreds of people living on the streets of San Diego.
Did you know that our Diocese purchased a mobile shower until that travels to several parishes on a weekly basis providing this basic need to our homeless neighbors?
This Lenten season the Service Ministry has chosen the Showers of Blessings ministry at St. Mark's as the recipient of our giving. Heather Smith from St. Mark's, City Heights, will be with us at our Sunday forum on February 18 to talk about this program and its impact at St. Mark's. Stay tuned for more information to come...

Connect with Realm Hear more at the Annual Meeting! Christ Church has moved to a new kind of church record keeping solution called RealmĀ®. It primarily serves the administrative needs of the staff, but it also offers some exciting opportunities to support the way parishioners are involved at Christ Church.
Realm will make it easier for our parish family to connect with each other, keep up with what's going on, and grow as a connected faith community.
Everyone in the parish has a unique profile. Your profile contains everything you want people in our church to know about you. Your profile also enables you to join a small group, RSVP to events, track your giving, update your contact information, change family details, set notification preferences, or replace that outdated family photo.
You can register here and download the Connect app to your phone so you'll have all of your parish information at your fingertips 24/7.

Operation Care Package Goodies for the college kids
|
|
|
Love to our college students.
|
Our second gathering for
Operation Care Package will be
Monday, February 26th at 7:00 p.m. Operation Care Package is an opportunity for you to join with members of our Christ Church family to send a little love to your favorite college student! We each bring one thing to contribute to each of the boxes (we think there will be 15) for the students. Then we sign cards to go in all of the boxes.
Our theme this box is St. Patrick's Day! Some fun ideas that you could bring: St. Patrick's Day socks, coupons for Shamrock Shakes at McDonalds, canned soup, anything green, St. Patrick's Day room decorations, Lucky Charms cereal and anything else you could think of that would be good for the box! We will be packing in medium size flat rate boxes which measure
11" x 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Contact
Charlette Preslar to learn more about this event if you have not yet participated.
